Don't Let the Protestor Drive the Bus
Campus Chaos, DOGE Goes Global, Territory on the Table, Hawkish House, Prime Ministers, Gazan Opinions: The Weekly Conquest Week of 3.30.25 – 4.5.25
Welcome to the ZioKnight
Week of March 30, 2025
A group of people protested against Israel at Brandeis this Friday. I didn’t say “students” because I didn’t know who most of them were. They wrapped their faces in keffiyehs, had professional postage, and swaths got on the public bus to leave afterward. So many of their identities remain a mystery, and no one seems to care, which is surprising, as no one should be comfortable with people shouting for an intifada getting on any bus.
Sunday 3.30
Shibu Inu Dog (DOGE Mascot) with Israeli Flag
DOGE doesn’t discriminate. 40 American research grants to Israel amounting to $13 million were canceled. They were primarily focused on agricultural development. [1][2]
Monday 3.31
Israel is threatening to shrink Gaza by adding territory to the Israeli security zone if Hamas doesn’t release the hostages. This move ups the ante and puts a new degree of pressure on Hamas, as their religious beliefs preclude them from surrendering territory. [3]
Tuesday 4.1
President Trump Announcing Tariffs in the White House Rose Garden
Preceding President Trump’s tariff announcement, Israel eliminated all tariffs on the U.S. The Trump team wasn’t able to update their placard fast enough, as it listed a 17% tariff on Israel. The administration said its tariffs are reciprocal, so its ones on Israel should be canceled. Time will tell what happens. [4][5]
Wednesday 4.2
A hearing on the House Foreign Affairs Committee suggested bipartisan support for striking Iranian nuclear facilities if Khomeini doesn’t shutter his nuclear program by an undecided date. Members of Congress seem to be more hawkish than Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, who is pursuing a deal. [6]
Thursday 4.3
Senator Sanders Speaking at News Conference on Restricting Arms Sales to Israel
Senator Bernie Sanders brought a vote to the Senate floor to consider blocking certain arms sales to Israel. He brought a similar resolution in November, winning 19 votes in favor. This time, he got 15 votes. Four senators changed their votes after facing disapproval from their constituents and realizing that blocking the sales would prolong the conflict. [7]
Friday 4.4
Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary. They applauded their partnership, and Hungary pulled out of the International Criminal Court, which has an arrest warrant for Netanyahu. [8]
Saturday 4.5
Gazans told BBC reporters on the ground that they wanted to leave the strip. This sentiment is widespread, as a poll shows 52% of the population would be willing to relocate for a certain period. [9]
Is the dog an actual Doge mascot?
The dog of Israel is the Canaan dog, doesn't look much different based on my recollection.
I can only attach photos in notes but a recent image shows Gaza Bay on the coast of Israel, that rubble could create a barrier wall along Sinai if Sinai remains in the hands of the Egyptians as opposed to being reverted to its proper ownership allowing Israel energy Independence and bitchin beaches diving military depth for defense and income from the Suez which would be helpful once the houthis are crushed.
