Headline About Drones Flying Over New Jersey
When discussing the extremity of the threat Hezbollah and Hamas pose to Israel, I often compare their geography to New Jersey and New York. Imagine if New York sent rockets and drones into Jersey. I used to muse that I couldn’t imagine what would happen.
Well, now we know the answer. Mysterious drones have been hovering over the Garden State. Local, state, and federal officials are shrugging their shoulders, recommending not to worry. I think it’s time for New Jersey to defend its sovereignty and construct an iron dome.

Syrians “Shopping” in the Assad Palace
President Emeritus of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, fled the country to Russia. The rebel forces took the country in less than two weeks, as the Syrian Army wasn’t motivated to give them a challenge.
Prisoners are being released after decades in solitary confinement, the presidential palace was looted, and the state bank was pilfered. The country is in flux, so stay tuned for when power is centralized. [1][2][3]
Monday 12.9
Netanyahu Standing Trial
After eight years of suspense, Netanyahu got his day in court. He is accused of accepting unlawful gifts of cigars and champagne and illegal dealings with the media. He denies wrongdoing citing that he’s too busy even to finish the cigars and dislikes champagne! [4][5]

Map of Israeli Operation into Syria
The policy of “not negotiating with terrorists” is hard to follow for Israel. It is even harder when confused about whether their neighbor is one! HTS, the leading rebel faction in Syria, is a recognized terrorist organization by the US and is sanctioned by the EU.
Officials are mulling whether they will diplomatically recognize the Al-Queda offshoot. In the meantime, Israel is taking Syrian territory to use as a bargaining chip as the situation calms down. Israel also defanged them as a threat by destroying 80% of their newly acquired Syrian military. Talk about carrots and sticks. [6][7][8][9]
Wednesday 12.11
Hamas has relented on two of Israel’s main demands in hostage talks. They provided a list of those they will release and will allow Israeli troops to remain in Gaza following the deal. Look at that, pressure works. [10]
Thursday 12.12
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act, allocating over $600 million to work with Israel. The bill earmarked $500 million for missile defense cooperation, $47.5 million for technological development, $80 million for anti-tunneling, created a joint amputee rehabilitation program, and restricted the Department of Defense from using Hamas’ casualty data.
Now the ball is in the Senate’s court. [11][12]
Friday 12.13
The University of Michigan has the fifth-largest campus Jewish population. While this lends to a flourishing Jewish community, a diversity initiative administrator perceives it as a powerful cabal.
She remarked that the school is “controlled by wealthy Jews” who have “no genetic DNA that would connect them to the land of Israel.” She was fired when these comments surfaced and plans to sue. A Michigander friend of mine wonders if she is the only one in that department with such pernicious thoughts… [13][14]
Saturday 12.14
Israel's Justice Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Yariv Levin, is pushing judicial reform back into the spotlight. Traditionally, the president of Israel's Supreme Court is determined by seniority. Levin criticized the interim leader of the court for being too liberal. He demands that he be replaced with his conservative pick dangling the threat of reintroducing the judicial overhaul. [15][16]
