Memorial, Terror, Aid, Kahn, Iran, Ice Cream, Deal: The Weekly Conquest Week of 5.25.25 – 5.31.25
Welcome to the ZioKnight
Week of May 25, 2025
Memorial Service for Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim
I had the honor to attend the memorial of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim. Sarah’s mother and Israeli Ambassador Leiter spoke about their lives as proud Jews hoping to bring peace to Israel. High ranking D.C. city officials made a presence and doubled down on their security support for Jewish institutions.
The support was pretty clear because there was a minimum of 10 police cars and 25 officers blocking off the two neighboring streets.
Sunday 5.25
An American-German dual citizen was arrested for trying to firebomb the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv with Molotov cocktails (there is a Tel Aviv and Jerusalem building). News outlets and commentators often contextualize by building a narrative around such events. That won’t be necessary here because he clearly stated his intentions: "Join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f---k the west." [1]
Monday 5.26
The head of the newly created and U.S.-backed Gaza Aid Foundation, Jake Wood, resigned over frustration with the project. The organization deploys aid in a way that prevents Hamas from pilfering and uses U.S. security contractors. Hamas and the UN ardently dislike the plan that takes away most of their control over the strip. [2]
Tuesday 5.27
ICC Chief Prosecutor Kharim Kahn was preparing arrest warrants for Israeli Ministers Smotrich and Ben-Gvir. His sexual assault allegations caught up with him too quickly to deploy them as another diversion. [3]
Wednesday 5.28
Last week, a mysterious Axios story was floating around saying that President Trump told Netanyahu not to strike Iran. There wasn’t a quote or source, so I didn’t share it with you all. It turns out it was true, Trump confirmed. His back-and-forth stance suggests another instance of deploying the art of the deal. [4]
Thursday 5.29
It’s official, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream said that Israel is committing genocide. I would say no one cares what an ice cream company has to say, but then again, we get information from Snapple caps, and no one blinks an eye. [5]
Friday 5.30
The “Freedom Flotilla” Ship
Greta Thurnburg’s latest boating escapade is to the shores of Gaza. Hopefully, she never upset the Houthis… [6]
Saturday 5.31
Earlier this week, Israel accepted the Witkoff framework for a deal with Hamas. All signals were pointing to Hamas accepting it too, which would have led to the release of 10 living hostages and a 60 day ceasefire. Hamas rejected the deal and Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff is not happy. [7]
