Globalizing the Intifada from Binyamina to Wall Street: The Weekly Conquest Week of 10.13.24 – 10.19.24
Welcome to the ZioKnight
Week of October 19th, 2024
The Inside of the Tent in My Backyard
Adults frequently ask me how it is on campus. I’m always glad to tell them that the tents haven’t made it to Brandeis.
Happy Sukkot, a holiday when Jews encamp in their backyards celebrating the Nation’s historic journey from Egypt into Israel.
Sunday 10.16
Hezbollah Terrorists Launching the UAV That They Took Responsibility For
Hezbollah sent a barrage of rockets and UAVs into Israel. One evaded the Iron Dome and landed in Binyamina, a town in the Haifa region, undetected, killing 4 and injuring 67. [1][2]
Monday 10.4
NYPD Arresting JVP Protestors
500 anti-Israel Jews demonstrated in protest of America’s support of Israel outside of the New York Stock Exchange. 206 were arrested and the officer to the left’s face says it all. [3]
Tuesday 10.15
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s letter to Israel demanding more aid convoys be allowed into Israel was quickly heeded by their counterparts in the Jewish State. The letter detailed that military aid may have been paused if humanitarian aid didn’t resume.
Both types of aids flowed on Wednesday. [4][5]
Wednesday 10.16
Columbia Professor, Shai Davidai
Columbia University Professor, Shai Davidai was banned from campus because the administration claimed he “repeatedly harassed and intimidated university employees in violation of university policy.”
His specific infractions were sealed. He responded to the announcement by saying that he was “not going anywhere” and he “was not afraid to stand up to the hateful mob.” [6]
Thursday 10.17
The Carmeli Brigade at the Northern Border celebrates the elimination of Sinwar.
I expected a sermon at synagogue this past Thursday during Sukkot, but what our congregation received was far better.
Our Rabbi said that when Haman was parading Mordechai around the streets of Shushan in the story of Purim, Mordechai asked Haman to kneel so that he could step on his back to mount King Achashverosh’s horse.
Haman was a learned man, so he told Mordechai that Judaism prohibits one from celebrating one’s enemy’s hardship. Mordechai responded that the law doesn’t apply to Haman.
Our rabbi explained that the same rule applies to Yahya Sinwar, who the IDF killed in an artillery strike.
So Jewish readers, feel free to celebrate if you so wish. [7]
Friday 10.18
A heckler at a Kamala Harris rally asked the Vice President to address, what he called, “the genocide in Gaza.”
Harris responded, “I respect your right to speak. I'm speaking right now, I know what you're speaking of. I want the ceasefire. I want the war to end. Listen, what he’s talking about, it’s real. It’s real. That’s not the subject that I came to discuss today, but it’s real, and I respect his voice.”
Many, including Former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, accused Harris of giving credence to the blood libel of Israel committing a “genocide” in Gaza. [8]
Saturday 10.19
Iran attempted to assassinate Netanyahu. A drone hit a structure near his home, while he wasn’t there. The Prime Minister called the move “a grave mistake” that would not “deter” Israel’s “just war” against its enemies. [9]
