Week of January 5, 2025
Myself on the Edmund Pettus Bridge (left), Grafitti Found Under the Bridge (right)
After taking a picture on what we found to be the wrong side of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma Alabama, the ground of the civil rights march in 1965, my brother and I traveled on a walkway under it to be met by graffiti of the American and Israeli flags. Besides an anti-Israel bumper sticker, we only saw pro-Israel displays on our 2,000-mile, 5-day journey through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
Selma's pro-Israel sentiment is natural, as the town has historical ties with the Jewish community with a shul on the street, prominent Jews in the march, and three Jewish Mayors.
We made our way through Mobile Alabama later that day but unfortunately couldn’t find eight more Jews to be minyan men.
Sunday 1.5
Last week I compared the IDF to Nazi hunters. I guess Hezbollah felt left out. They’ve been working under the facade of international organizations to elicit arrest warrants for IDF soldiers abroad. As has been the case for the past few months, they haven’t found major success. [1][2][3]

Grammarly Plagiarism Checker
Have you ever done a group project by yourself and a partner claimed credit? If so, Israel can relate to you. In June 2024, Israel gave Hamas a list of hostages needed to have the first stage of a release deal. Hamas leaked that same list to the press, claiming it was their list of who they’d be willing to release in current talks.
Next time they publish something, I recommend they check out Grammarly. I heard it has a pretty decent plagiarism detector. [4]
Tuesday 1.7
Entrance to an Iranian Prison
Iran executed over 900 people this year. Many were condemned to that fate for protesting or self-defense against rape. Talk about civilian deaths… [5][6]
Wednesday 1.8
Israelis are being detained abroad, and Israel is being shunned on the global stage, but yet their passport is the 19th most powerful. This is primarily due to the U.S. visa waiver agreement and the Abraham Accords. That’s another win for the U.S.-Israel relationship! [7]
Thursday 1.9
The ICC is out of vogue in the United States. The House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted to sanction the body. In the first week of this Congress’ session, pro-Israel policies are off to a hot start. [8]
Friday 1.10
The Yemeni Houthis
The U.S., Britain, and Israel conducted their largest joint attack against the Houthis. As much as I hope they stop their regional rabble-rousing, I can’t help but hope the guy in the middle is ok. [9][10]
Saturday 1.11
Tim Cook with Iran’s New Technology Behind Him (edited)
Apple Worldwide Developer Conference style, Iran announced its newest missiles and drones. Like the iPhone 16, I hope the Islamic Revolutionary Gaurd Corp’s release will amount to a flop. [11][12][13]
